Another angle for refits

Other Angle Yacht Services has reported a busy period in Toulon in recent months.…

Toulon-based refitter, Other Angle Yachting Services says the autumn season has proved to be a very busy one, with 12 projects completed in total.

Among the work undertaken recently was a full rebuild of the main engines, as well as general maintenance, on 87.8m Feadship M/Y Fountainhead, and an extensive refit on 62.3m Feadship M/Y Virginian.

The 58m Amels M/Y Astrid Conroy visited Other Angle for the first time, and M/Y Odessa, M/Y Odessa II, M/Y Perfect Persuasion and M/Y Lady Tahiti all returned for regular maintenance and refit works at the end of a busy summer season.

“This has been a fantastic refit season for us at Other Angle Yachting Services,” explained company principal, Jean Christophe Lenoir, “welcoming back past clients as well as being able to introduce many new yachts to our world-class facilities with superb capacity and a highly skilled workforce.”

This ‘highly skilled workforce’ has been expanded recently with the addition of Fabrice Garau and Sam Ashley to the team. As respected project managers, Garau and Ashley are well known in the business and have each worked on in excess of 50 superyacht refit and maintenance projects over the years.

“We are delighted to welcome Fabrice and Sam to the team here in Toulon,” Lenoir said. “I have known the two of them professionally for over a decade and am confident that they will bring huge value to what we have to offer our clients here.”

Lenoir explained that, in addition to maintenance work, the yard has begun to work on a number of ‘aesthetic’ projects, including a 5m extension to the sun deck of Amevi.

“With significant interest in the upcoming season and word spreading fast about our secure facility, with unlimited size capacity for the current fleet of superyachts,” Lenoir added, “we are looking forward to working with old friends as well as new ones over the coming months.”
