Silver Bullet 100' will be the first yacht built by the newly formed MCP Sailing Yachts Division.…

Construction is soon to begin on Brazilian shipyard MCP Yachts’ first ever sailing yacht. According to MCP’s Denis Fidalgo, “aluminium, welding material and space” have already been prepared for the Silver Bullet 100’ with, “the first plates to be cut [at the] beginning of January.”

Silver Bullet 100’, which will be delivered to her owner in 2017, is a semi-raised salon sloop, created by sailing yacht specialist, A. Bottino design + engineering. The project will be managed, and the construction undertaken by the newly formed MCP Sailing Yachts Division.

In performance terms, the 30.5m Silver Bullet will feature a lifting keel, reducing the draft from 4.5m to 2.5m. The rig configuration will be designed and produced by North Sails.

‘A clean deck lay-out with self-tacking jib makes this 100 footer an easy to handle yacht’, a MCP statement reads. ‘The helm is placed close to the social area at the cockpit saloon, which is protected with a sliding hard top roof. In the aft we’ll find the sailing hardware area, and in the transom, a terrace on the sea, with wide seats and large glazing area to let the day light get in the owner’s cabin.’
