Horizon’s 'Andrea VI' completes sea trials ahead of FLIBS debut

Horizon has reported successful sea trials of Andrea VI, hull one of the Taiwanese yard's RP110 raised pilothouse superyacht range.

The trials conducted last week ‘fully met’ the expectations of the owner, who was on board for the trials. Andrea VI is his second yacht built with Horizon.

Sea conditions were rough, say the yard, but the RP110's double-chine hull sliced through the waves producing a stable and comfortable ride. She also demonstrated a small and smooth turning radius.

Three years in design, the new Horizon RP110 features exterior styling by J.C. Espinosa and a combined effort of Horizon's design team and interior designer Donald L. Blount for the structural components. Considerable time was spent on the yacht's innovative double-chine hull design, comprising two of her three years in development.

Horizon reports that it has also secured two additional new-build orders for hulls in the Horizon RP110 range and is hosting four potential clients from the U.S., Australia, Singapore and Europe on board the RP110 this week.

Andrea VI will be shipped for delivery to her owner in the U.S. and makes her world debut at the 2013 the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
