Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw has received a new order for a custom explorer motoryacht for cruising in the Baltic and Polar regions. Project 009 is for an experienced owner who was fully involved in the conceptual design.

Project 009 will have a steel hull with ice reinforcements and an aluminium superstructure and all ship operations will be arranged from the central position of the wheelhouse. She also has an integrated tender dock at the aft.

The vessel has been designed with a unique hybrid system, which has a cross shaft option, meaning that both CPP propellers can be run from either one of two main engines.
