Customising the Custom Line

Ferretti Group has revealed details of its new Custom Line 108', an evolution of the Custom 100' model.…

The Ferretti Group has unveiled the latest addition to its Custom Line portfolio, the Custom Line 108’. The new project, which is part of the planing line, will make its debut next summer and is a development of its 30.5m predecessor, 14 of which were launched in just three years.

Stefano De Vivo, Ferretti Group’s CO, outlined the value of developing the new line:

"We have perfected an already winning product, implementing on this new 108-footer, among other things, the extraordinary innovations that were presented during the autumn boat shows, such as the patented Dual Mode Transom system and the VOTIS infotainment system. And our choice has been immediately endorsed by the market: two hulls have indeed already been sold, bearing witness to the fact that difficulties can be overcome by betting on world-class quality.

“Over the next few months we intend to widen our new-customer base as much as possible and we hope reap the benefits of our work next summer, when the 108' will officially make its debut."

The new maxi yacht is the outcome of the cooperation between Ferretti Group’s in-house R&D team and design firm Zuccon International Project. It is characterised by much larger volumes than the model it draws inspiration from, measuring 32.95m with a beam of 7.25m, offering one square metre more on the main deck and the flybridge.

The aft area has been enlarged thanks to the installation of Ferretti Group’s Dual Mode Transom (DMT), its new electrical-hydraulic system developed in collaboration with Centro Stile Srl and Besenzoni Spa, which enables the transom door to open in both directions creating a float-in garage for a 5m tender and a jet ski, a submersible swim platform, and a beach club integrated into one single system.

The 2.5m extension of the main deck has altered the layout, with the cockpit now dominated by a large sunbathing area, where the sofa can be converted into chaise longue and into a sunpad, allowing guests to enjoy beach life together at the beach club.

Walking past the cockpit, guests can step into the salon, which is more than 1m larger than that found on the 100 footer. The salon includes the living area and the dining area, as well as a ‘cocktail corner’.

Forward of the lobby area is the master stateroom, which enjoys a wide body configuration, much improved on the 100’, and further enhanced by two huge windows that extend up to the head, located at the extreme bow.

The Custom Line 108’ also signals an evolution in terms of interior décor. Centro Stile architects and designers carried out ‘ad hoc’ studies, creating exclusive design solutions, in which Ferretti Custom Line’s Italian style goes hand in hand with ‘classy’ solutions, adding a ‘noble’ touch.

The first two 108s will be characterised by a fascinating colour contrast: dark oak wood combined with leather and nubuck furniture details and linings, while on the main deck all flooring will be in a light-shade parquet. Marble will be the dominant material in all bathrooms. Special LED spotlights specifically designed for this model will be built-in in all ceiling panels. Moreover, all furniture in the main rooms will have backlit edges.

The Custom Line 108’ too will be equipped with the innovative ‘VOTIS’ - Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System. The system can now be controlled from any area on the yacht, and can be integrated with the owner’s personal devices. And thanks to the AirPlay technology –there is the option for individual device streaming, from multiple rooms.

The new project comes with two MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines, allowing the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots, with a much improved range of 350 and 430 nautical miles, respectively.
