International Yacht Collection (IYC) has listed 52.1m M/Y Gravitas for sale at $19.85 million. Gravitas is a custom-built Feadship that was originally built by a repeat Feadship owner and delivered in 1995.
Formerly known as Battered Bull, she was sold in 2013 for $19.9 million, but has since had a hull re-paint and an extensive interior refit in 2014, which evidently assisted in retaining its resale value.
Mark Elliott, the listing broker at IYC, said “It’s a Feadship - the top builder in the world - and she has got capabilities beyond any other yacht. She has a touch-and-go helicopter pad, a 10,000lb crane, she has carried a 40ft. tender, and now there’s a submarine there. She is a super-capable boat.”
Gravitas is capable of sleeping 18 guests in eight staterooms, comprised of five double staterooms and three twin-bedded staterooms. Additionally, the master suite has its own office, breakfast bar, and a sitting room that can convert into another twin bedroom.
“I’m already having significant interest”, added Elliott. As The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report 2015 revealed, the average age of Feadship vessels sold in 2014 was 20 years and 10 months, so at the age of 20 we can expect Gravitas to be a popular listing in the market.
