Launched in September, 60m Excellence V from German yard Abeking and Rasmussen is due to be delivered this winter.
Excellence V, also known as hull number 6486, will undergo her sea trials before she is delivered.
She has been built in steel with an aluminium superstructure. She can reach a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M53R engines at 1495kW each.
Her interior and exterior are by English design firm Reymond Langton Design in collaboration with the owner, who already has experience with yachts of this size.
Excellence V features the same signature ‘whale tail’ flared bow of the previous Excellence yacht series and has an interior decorated using 'earthy' shades including browns, tans and creams.
She will accommodate 14 guests and 18 crewmembers and with a beam of 12.8m features 50 per cent more interior volume than that of previous 60m Abeking & Rasmussen yachts.
There is a dining room and lounge area in the aft of the main deck.
The upper deck contains the owner’s cabin, which includes a private pool and terrace, from which the owner can have complete privacy as the bow area is decked-in. Aft of the upper deck is the salon, which is 80sqm and has full height windows to emphasise the space.
The wheel house and captain’s cabin is located forward on the bridge deck, while aft there is an exterior dining area. A bar and sun loungers are located on the sun deck.
The crewmembers’ area is located on the lower deck and features a cinema room with seating for nine and a beach club with a hatch that opens to a sea platform.
Tenders onboard include two Novurania chase boats of 8.3m and 7m and one 4.2 m rescue boat.
Following her delivery, Excellence V will be spending the winter cruising the Caribbean.
