Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts and yachting consultancy Yacht-Ology, have released new details about the 50m superyacht S501, which has been under construction at the facility since May 2015. S501 was sold by Yacht-Ology in collaboration with Aquila Yachting to an experienced French client.

Recently, a significant milestone was reached in the construction process, with the completion of the hull, deck and superstructure all in aluminium. S501 was then transported from Marina di Carrara to the completion shed in Genova on 20 November. The engines and generators are already in, and fairing will be started in December.

The interior styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design has been approved by the owner and the production of all the cabins began at the end of 2015.

Yacht-Ology's Michel Karsenti declared, “we are extremely proud that the client, his surveyor and broker, Daniel Bussani from Aquila Yachting, decided Tankoa was the most suitable shipyard to build his new yacht after investigating a number of European builders."

The 50m project is scheduled for delivery in April 2017.
