Turkish yacht builder Bilgin has released an update on the Bilgin 263, an 80m project which was signed in October 2015. The project has been signed for a European client who has owned two Bilgin yachts prior to the 263.
Not only will the 263 be the largest yacht Bilgin has built to date, but will be one of the largest yachts ever to be built in Turkey.
Currently the shipyard is working on the general arrangement plans as well as the construction drafts and drawings. Model testing and towing tank testing of the vessel is scheduled to take place this month. Bilgin Yachts has announced steel cutting and the hull construction will begin in March 2016.
The 263 has been penned by Turkish-based studio, Unique Yacht Design which has also designed the exterior of both 47.5m Bilgin 156 yachts currently under construction.
H2 Yacht Design has designed the interior of the 263 in addition to all of the other three projects under construction at Bilgin.
The Bilgin 263 will built to ABS class and LY3 compliance. She is scheduled for delivery in 2019.
