UK, London. With the New Year comes a new collection from Summit Furniture, designed by luxury furniture specialist Linley. The latest collection is an outdoor range constructed from teak and is due to be launched in Europe during the London Design Week, which runs from 9th – 14th March.

“When David Linley approached us to produce their very first outdoor teak collection we were extremely excited,” says Jane Sieberts, president of Summit Furniture. “Between their VIP relationships and connections and our international clientele, we are expecting very big things from this collection in the elite world of the superyacht, as well as in the prominent world of the global jet set.”

Linley’s in-house design team joins an elite group of award-winning designers such as John Munford, Mark Anders, Alwy Visschedyk and Charles Verey who have each created a special collection for Summit. Focused on producing bespoke furniture, the new collection extends Linley’s design portfolio to include outside/on deck furniture.

“We can offer a complete package of Linley designed furniture with this new range,” explains Polina Parshina, head of product and brand development at Linley. “It will be of great interest for our residential and superyacht projects, as the idea of outside/inside living grows in popularity with the market.”

Parshina goes on to explain that prototypes of the range were presented to a select audience at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show for comments and the initial feedback was positive, providing confidence to go ahead with the collection. The range includes a chair and sofa, which are finished with thick cushions in grey for the seat and back, and a coffee table with a glass top.

“We are thrilled to partner with Summit,” comments founder and chairman of Linley, David Linley. “They are the only fine teak manufacturer we considered for this new endeavor and we are confident their expertise will result in industry accolades and very satisfied clientele.”

The new collection will be on show in Summit’s showroom at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour from 9th March and in its Los Angeles showroom in Pacific Design Center from 19th March.
