Evan K Marshall, Rob Doyle and Martin Francis highlight the key points raised during the first day of SuperyachtDESIGN Week 2013.
Martin Francis began the first Designer Question Time of Day 1, "Plagiarism vs Individualism - The Future", alongside a panel of Greg Marshall and Sergio Cutolo, by talking about M/Y Eco. During the session Francis recalled how the owner of the project was the perfect client, explaining what made their working relationship such a success.
This theme was continued in the following session with a panel consisting of Evan K Marshall and Rob Doyle, together with Ken Hickling, who discussed the entry process into the industry. The underlying theme was the importance of the designer and client relationship, especially when it came to first-time clients who were embarking on their first superyacht project.
