SuperyachtNews.com has launched an Android version of its Superyacht News app. The app will deliver the latest news from The Superyacht Group’s entire digital portfolio direct to users’ tablets and smartphones.
The Superyacht News app was originally launched to coincide with the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show, providing iPhone and iPad users with news updates as they happened.
And having studied the way news is consumed, it is clear that readers want breaking headlines delivered to them in real time, wherever they are. This will now be possible whatever system your device operates on.
But with the rapid rise in popularity of devices that operate on the Android platform, The Superyacht Group undertook the development of an Android version of its app, which is now available to download.
In a first for the industry, the app’s push notification system alerts the user to the biggest stories of the day as they happen, thanks to the ‘News Flash’ function. And when opened, the app instantly categorises news and top stories from across the group’s portfolio of products, filtering them to meet the needs of the individual user and ensuring that they remain up to date in their areas of interest.
This is the latest step in the evolution of The Superyacht Group’s products, and there will be more exciting digital announcements to come in 2015.
