UK, London. With just under two weeks until SuperyachtDESIGN Week, held from 23 – 25 June at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, we highlight two exciting Artisan & Innovator Showcases featuring at the event this year: Gosling Marine and TUUCI.
Gosling Marine
Gosling Marine, the superyacht-focused wing of Gosling, a luxury bespoke furniture design company, returns to SuperyachtDESIGN Week (SYDW) in 2015. With its iconic white carbon fibre materials, Gosling Marine produces some of the finest deck furniture available for the discerning superyacht owner. Providing a completely bespoke service, Gosling Marine’s products combine teak, carbon fibre and stainless steel to complement any yacht scheme.
Gosling Marine founder, Tim Gosling, will host the technical workshop ‘Getting Animated’ on day one of SYDW, the 23 June. Focusing on the use of 3D printing in design, this session will feature live demonstrations, display pre-printed designs and utilise existing software to showcase the possibilities of 3D printing for the superyacht industry.

TUUCI
A new Artisan showcase for this year is Miami-based luxury parasol manufacturer TUUCI. Company founder, Dougan Clarke has a long history within the yachting world, working in a boat yard as a marine rigger since the age of 13. As a result of this, Clarke utilises durable materials from the marine industry in the designs of parasols, pavilions and other outdoor furniture.
Echoing this year’s SYDW themes of living architecture and workshops on biomimicry, TUUCI take inspiration from the natural world, citing the ocean environment of the Florida Keys as a muse for their designs.
