The Netherlands-based software and hardware development specialist Oculus Technologies has launched its latest addition to its range, the YachtEye Globe ORBIIX. The interactive touch globe. which saw its debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, has been specifically developed for the superyacht and private aviation markets, with the ability to be fully customised to an owner's needs.

The ORBIIX provides omnivisual infotainment on a 360° globe display and has the ability to track yachts and aircrafts as well as showing your own vessel or aircraft's position and surrounding data. The 360° display can document your yacht's journey and integrate real-time weather and radar images and forecasts. The ORBIIX also has the option of daylight and earth shadow visualisation, as well as time and clock features to aid the projection of a yacht's intended route.

Other YachtEye products, at November's METS in Amsterdam, and will be displayed on several YachtEye dealer stands including Van Berge Henegouwen, Ideaworks, Aleqijnse and Tijssen Elektro.
