“Stored in different formats on different computers - sometimes even hastily scribbled on post-its - crucial data can be tricky to access quickly in a crunch and fiddly to hand over to new crewmembers,” explained Bart Willemse, Intermac director. “Crew profiles, yard meetings, technical decisions, receipts, port information, guest information; having all this content in once place is very useful for day-today operation and handovers.”
The system can be run on any hardware, including tablets, and allows yachts and their crew to store, access and easily share information, centralising all relevant data and as such making it easy for any crewmember to retrieve and share. “These and other functionalities will help ensure that this comprehensive application transforms the face of on-board information management,” added Willemse.
