Heinen & Hopman, marine air condition specialists, has developed a new cost and energy-efficient air conditioning system.

Heinen & Hopman acknowledged the necessity for a superyacht’s air conditioning system to create and maintain first class working conditions in the main galley, and to achieve this, the company has optimised the induction system used to ventilate the galley.

The fully-customised induction system has helped to create an air envelope around the cooking area, which extracts nearly all fumes and contamination. Energy loss is reduced by feeding air from the central air-handling unit directly to the galley range hood, as not all treated air in the kitchen is extracted by the galley range hood.

Heinen & Hopman’s new air-condition system, which can be fully tailored to the client’s wishes, means the galley is free from fumes, smells, and contaminants, while saving money by saving electricity.

The ventilation system is both cost and energy-efficient
