Focus on 2015

Now in its third year, SYDW has a number of exciting new additions to the programme.…

UK, London. Since its conception in 2013, SuperyachtDESIGN Week (held this year from 23 to 25 June) has aimed to constantly entertain, enlighten and inspire those who attend. Developing the event’s established formula even further, we unveil several new features for 2015.

Vri’Think’s Trend Talk
In keeping with SuperyachtDESIGN Week’s (SYDW) focus on the superyacht owners of the future, the Vripack team will host this informative, interactive discussion looking at the next big trends in the industry. In this final session, Pim Dijksman, Marnix Hoekstra and Joost Mertens will present a series of projects developed during SYDW and give guests a glimpse at what the future holds for design. Drawing inspiration from the world around us, as well as various topics raised throughout the event, Vri’Think’s Trend Talk is the perfect end to three days of design debate.

Designer Draw Off
A hugely anticipated addition to this year’s programme, SuperyachtDesign has challenged three legendary yacht designers to a draw-off. Under a strict time constraint, the designers will showcase their hand-drawing talents to a captive audience. The only brief? Interpret the three themes of the event, Smart Engineering, Living Architecture and Planetary Protection. The finished canvases will then be donated to Sail4Cancer and auctioned off to raise money for this incredible cause.

Artisans Unlocked will provide guests the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the Artisan & Innovator Showcases

Artisans Unlocked
As highlighted in our Showcase Spotlight series, the Artisan & Innovators showcases at this year’s SYDW will offer exclusive access to a diverse range of international brands. The Artisans Unlocked guided tour will happen daily and invites guests to explore the showcases and meet the minds behind them.

Trend Wall
The Trend Wall is a 2015 installation where industry guests and VIPs have the opportunity to flaunt their artistic talent, thoughts, opinions and doodles between keynote sessions and interactive workshops. Guests are invited to grab a pencil and bring this blank canvas to life. Don’t miss this new feature in the Pavilion.
