'Clifford II' gets systems overhaul from Lantic

Lantic Entertainment Systems, AV / IT system provider has completed an overhaul of the Lantic system on the 46m Palmer Johnson motoryacht, Clifford II. The revitalised system of the version first installed in 2008 delivers a ‘completely new experience’.
The new system uses Lantic’s version 2.7 software suite; for better simplicity and versatility of experience for the yacht's owner and guests. It is said to be a ‘quantum leap’ from the 2008 version with increased processing power and advances in computer graphics. New features include two-way iPad/iPhone streaming, third generation cabin controls with central command, HD streaming hardware and the RC20 remote control app for Apple devices.
Less visible changes are its myriad hardware improvements. Fully refitted client servers, replacement of the original, single server with three separate servers complete with shock-proofing, and the exchange of DVD for Blu-ray drives, have all been achieved.
“This is a highly cost-effective and time-efficient route for owners of older Lantic systems who wish to take advantage of the dramatic advances that have been made in recent years,” said Lantic’s Peter Bouman.
“Lantic is all about solutions that are quick, clean and convenient, and this extends to the service that we provide to all our clients.”
The entertainment system was prepared at Lantic’s facility in Denmark, before the quick turnaround of two weeks to entirely rebuild the hardware.
