The three themes for SuperyachtDESIGN Week, Smart Engineering, Living Architecture and Planetary Protection, have one key focus: What will the superyacht owner of the future want from their yacht? So, who better to drive this conversation than those who are set to influence, improve and participate in the design community in the coming decades

In light of this, the SuperyachtDesign team has unveiled an exclusive discounted student rate for this year’s SuperyachtDESIGN Week (SYDW), held from 23 – 25 June at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. This is an unparalleled opportunity for young designers, architects, interior specialists and marine-technology students to immerse themselves in the superyacht world.
Learn from design visionaries and get up-close-and-personal with cutting-edge and interactive installations. Iconic architect David Nelson of Foster + Partners, holistic designer Johannes Torpe, superyacht owner Bill Duker and famed architect Arturo Vittori will deliver keynotes full of advice, anecdotes and counsel that are vital for any aspiring student. Watch industry figures go head-to-head in the Designer Draw-off, showcasing their hand-drawing skills for charity. Look closely and you may pick up a few tips along the way.
The SYDW workshops will present the ideal opportunity for future designers, architects and marine engineers to quiz their elders in Meet the Designer sessions, as well as express their fresh ideas to influence the Design Debates and Think Tanks. This year’s Technical Workshops on Biomimicry, 3D Printing and Colour Trends all focus on what the future holds for the superyacht industry and beyond.
Finally, a hugely important part of SYDW is the extensive networking opportunities. Over three-days, lunch hotspots, coffee breaks and social events will provide the perfect arena to approach a vast spectrum of superyacht professionals. Who knows, you could be introduced to your future employer!
