MONACO. This morning saw the official launch of a leather collection by Andrew Winch Designs (AWD) for Italian specialist Foglizzo. The collection - which is available in 36 colours, three patterns and three grain options - was inspired by and is suitable for aviation, maritime and architectural use.
"AWD and Foglizzo have worked together for many years," explained Kitty Keir at AWD. "Andrew has wanted to put together a collection with Marco [Foglizzo] for a long time, as they use the finest leathers. He wanted to create something special that could be shared with the wider design community."
Samples from the new collection
"The Jetstream, City Lights and Set Sail patterns represent the areas of the market that Andrew focuses on, so you can see a clear nautical, air and land theme in the collection," added Marco Foglizzo at Foglizzo.
When asked as to the value in having this collection for AWD, Foglizzo explained that the collection would be available to anyone and that the value for the studio would be brand identity on projects not directly designed by AWD.
