Superyacht Management Meeting: Fiscal programme
The 2014 edition of the Superyacht Management Meeting: Fiscal will be held on 15 April in the superyacht hub of Monaco.…
Arguably the capital of the Mediterranean superyacht industry, Monaco will play host to a mix of tax experts, lawyers, brokers, captains and managers. By integrating the legislators with the end users and those they advise, the meeting will take on much more of a workshop atmosphere so everyone is able to raise their questions and get answers before the 2014 season officially kicks off. Chaired by The Superyacht Group's News Editor, Will Mathieson, a welcome address will be delivered following a very eventful 2013 after the previous meeting in Brussels. With considerable changes to Spain's Matriculation Tax, and the VAT changes in France, this opening session will assess some of the biggest movements of the last year and provide an update on what remains to be done.
With the engagement of the European government at an all time high, it is crucial to educate the wider industry on the best course of action to take if changes are to take place. A number of senior representatives with experience lobbying the government and working closely with the European Commission will take to the stage to provide their advice and shed light on the strides they've been able to make.
Following a networking lunch, workshop tables will be broken into some of the key charter countries so delegates are able to gain further insight into the regions they would like to explore further. Moderators will help facilitate these discussions focusing on Croatia, France, Italy and Spain.
Reconvening for a final wrap up session, moderators and delegates alike will discuss in an open debate the findings of their sessions. Have we made progress is any of the regions? Where do questions remain? And if possible, how can we address them?
Limited to a maximum of 50 delegates, this is an event not to be missed if you have questions of concerns regarding the forthcoming season.
