Yacht Club de Monaco to include Riva Aquarama lounge

The Ferretti Group has announced that its Riva brand will have a dedicated ‘Riva Aquarama’ lounge in the soon-to-be-opened Yacht Club de Monaco building, designed by Sir Norman Foster. It will be located on the top floor of the building.

The lounge will be officially opened as part of the official club inauguration on 20 June and Ferretti Group CEO, Alberto Galassi said that this unique positioning was a true honour for the Riva brand. “Elegance is the noble, intrinsic form of beauty, that surpasses the fashions and tastes of the moment. Just like Riva, a timeless synonym of elegance and beauty in the sea, this lounge, designed by one of the biggest names in architecture, gives the new, fantastic venue of the most prestigious yacht club in the world an extra touch of exclusivity”, Galassi explained. “I’m particularly proud to be able to inaugurate such an important space for the Ferretti Group, the YCM and the global nautical industry. This is a satisfaction that I want to share with the women and men, boat owners and talents that built the legendary Riva over the years, starting from its founder, the engineer Carlo Riva.”

Bernard D’Alessandri, secretary general of the Yacht Club de Monaco, also highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two entities:

“Since the 1950s the stories of Monaco and Riva have been entwined. They evolved naturally together for 60 years, from the first floating dock by Carlo Riva, supported by Prince Rainier III, to the creation of the 100m tunnel dug out of the rock, to keep the temperature of the boats constant in winter, like the methods used for fine wines. We are really proud that our two worlds have met in this new scenario, sharing their expertise to create a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. Riva is the symbol of l'Art de Vivre and of the pleasure of experiencing the sea, which is the same philosophy we adopt on a daily basis.”
