Coming from a commercial shipping background, new Executive Chairman of Fraser Yachts, Roberto Giorgi, brings a new and interesting perspective to the superyacht industry. Speaking to this morning at the Monaco Yacht Show, he shared that he has a love for the market and is excited to learn and grow as a group.

"The thing I love is there are so many young and energetic people," he explains. "It's a small cluster that has been together a long time and has improved with the various organisations that have been created but I think there is more to do. Especially with the brokers getting a stronger unified voice to ensure the long term sustainability of the industry."

Giorgi is excited to get more involved with the industry and see the next generation grow and strengthen the market on the whole. "I think we need to focus on leadership training," he adds. "People can learn from one another and, seeing the number of young people entering the industry, I think we need to play a role in shaping their experience and training them to become tomorrow's market leaders."

Stay tuned for exciting news on Giorgi's upcoming involvement with the Global Superyacht Forum.
