Viking Recruitment has expanded its yacht operations team with the appointment of James Scott as the superyacht recruitment and management company’s yacht operations manager.
Scott will be based in Viking Recruitment’s office in Dover, UK, where the company is in the middle of constructing its Maritime Skills Academy, and will bring with him 24 years of superyacht and cruise ship experience. His past in the maritime hospitality industry includes working front of house as well as holding the position of hotel manager for a number of luxury cruise brands, prior to moving into the yachting arena.
Since moving into the superyacht industry, Scott has acted as purser as well as a shore-based personal manager for a fleet of high-profile yachts. His recent hospitality experience also includes the development and establishment of hospitality services for a number of companies.
