The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report is coming...

The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report is near completion and will be live online in a few days time and landing on desks within weeks. This year sees a complete overhaul for this crucial industry title...…

The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report 2015 (TSIAR) is due to be released in the coming weeks and is the result of a year long process of analysing the superyacht market.

The Superyacht Intelligence team and The Superyacht Group's editorial team have reformatted and reshaped the content of the report; assessing each sector of the industry and addressing the issues that are at the forefront of industry agenda through statistical analysis, 20 years of industry knowledge and market research.

Key to this year’s Annual Report has been the complete overhaul of SuperyachtIntelligence.com (to be launched at the end of February), the foundation of this report, which represents the most comprehensive source of fleet and yard data available to the industry. The Superyacht Intelligence team has updated and verified the database of over 5,000 yachts and some 40,000 individuals, to collate the most accurate information available.

For too long, industry analysis has focussed on the size of the order books, which has only served to garner false optimism. This year we have divided the market into three constituent parts with which to analyse: 30-45m motoryachts, 45m+ motoryachts and sailing yachts. We believe that this gives a more accurate evaluation of market performance and highlights sectors that are struggling alongside those that are leading the recovery.

In addition, we have concentrated our statistical analysis on deliveries as the key performance metric, rather than the order book, which can distort the perception of the market due to on-spec projects and projects that have been stalled or halted, giving an inaccurate perspective of shipyard activity. It is only by evaluating the number of yachts that are hitting the water that we can draw accurate conclusions about the health of the new build sector for a realistic market overview.

TSIAR also features the Global Order Book, analysis of shipyard performance and the condition of the sales market. The Superyacht Group’s editors provide state of the industry reports investigating the health of specific sectors, charting the changes over the year, identifying the peaks and troughs and making intelligent predictions for the coming year.

The scope and detail of research within this year's report represents the most comprehensive industry analysis we have ever published, a must read for any business operating in the superyacht industry.

The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report 2015 will be available to purchase as a stand alone publication at a discounted rate of £95 (+P&P) until March 1st 2015.
