Solent Refit has secured a long-term lease on its 1500-ton slipway, transfer system and 10,000sqm undercover facility. The refit specialist will be able to continue its superyacht refit provision at its base, close to Southampton, as yards director, Allan Foot explained:
“This was the culmination of many months’ negotiation, and is great news for the long term future of the Solent Refit facility. The yard has been going from strength to strength over the past five years. In fact we have just launched our 59th vessel through the facility, and future enquiries are very strong.”
Foot said Solent Refit continued to compete with destinations in the Mediterranean on quality and cost: “We specialise in all types of medium to large yachts, with a skilled work force to cater for all possible needs. Our economic rates, general work ethic and huge under cover working halls preventing projects being held up due to bad weather ensure this.”
