Palumbo Group has announced that Palumbo Marseille Superyachts ITM has officially restarted its activity after the reopening two months ago. On 1st April 2014, an 85m superyacht entered the dry dock at the yard, the latest acquisition by Palumbo Group.
The yard, formerly International Technic Marine, was acquired less than two months ago by the Italian group and is now fully operative. The acquisition came about after the group’s bid for the yard was approved by the Commercial Court of Marseille in February this year.
“The Palumbo team worked very hard in the last couple of months to make this possible,” the group said in a statement released upon announcing the new activity. “The entire work has been carried out by local manpower bringing the yard back to the success gained in the past.”
At the moment, the yard covers an area of about 12,000 square metres, comprising four large dry docks ranging from 80-126m, a covered shed of about 95m, and over 300m of quay for repairs afloat.
