Offshore Systems has reported an incredible YoY rise in sales of 43.91 per cent on its end-of-year 2012 numbers. The alarm, display and control systems manufacturer has made a number of new appointments to its team during that period.
In a statement to the industry Offshore’s MD, Bruce Coward attributed this impressive spike to the diversification of the company’s product range, its turnkey service and the securing of a number of high value contracts.
SuperyachtNews.com contacted Coward for further details and he revealed that the superyacht market had become Offshore’s primary focus. “Our main growth has come from the superyacht sector as our range of systems have been increasingly tailored specifically to that marketplace”, he explained. “If I had to guess at a percentage I would say more than 75 per cent of the growth is from that sector.”
When asked whether any specific product had acted as a catalyst for such remarkable YoY growth, Coward identified the iDAC Integrated Display and Control System, which acts as a comprehensive on board monitoring system. “This system provides full monitoring of engines, tanks, DC Power, AC Power air con, fluid flows, safety doors, bilge levels, fire detection, with power control for DC and AC switching”, he said.
