Having signed an exclusive deal with Sunreef for its 40-metre catamaran design, BMT Nigel Gee has announced that Holland-based Oceanco has commissioned the team to design the next generation of Oceanco bespoke superyachts, based upon the shipyard’s 110 to 120-metre platform.

Following the success of the 700 platform and joining design studios such as Nuvolari & Lenard Naval Design (who designed the 120-metre PA122 concept), BMT Nigel Gee will be creating a new design called PA107. This model will incorporate a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system using MTU 4000 series engines and twin CPP propellers for a maximum speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. In addition, the superyacht will benefit from optimised hydrodynamics and utilise waste heat recovery systems, while maintaining full SOLAS compliance for up to 36 guests.
