Janet Xanthopoulos of Rosemont Yacht Services has been elected to the board of the Cluster Yachting Monaco this year.
The Monaco Yacht Club hosted a meeting of the new board of directors, bringing together professionals in the yachting industry to discuss the development of the cluster, which was established three years ago in a government initiative.
The most recent meeting was used as an opportunity for the new board of directors to report on what has been accomplished in the first year, 2015.
Topics debated included an annual directory-listing for professionals operating in Monaco and the establishment of a VIP pontoon in partnership with the Yacht Club de Monaco. Bernard d’Alessandri, was nominated for a second consecutive time as president of the cluster.
The main goal for the Monaco Yacht Club is to interact and generate dialogue with decision-makers and develop synergies between professionals, with a willingness to be open to other related business sectors.
The yachting industry alone generated more than €696 million in 2014, this is 5% of the total turnover by companies based in the Principality.
