EYOS Expeditions has announced it is working with Yacht Carbon Offset to offer a greenhouse gas offset option to all its expedition clients.
By taking part in this scheme, yachts' greenhouse gasses will be counteracted while preserving the cruising freedom that come hand-in-hand with these types of adventurous expeditions, regardless of cruising ground.
"EYOS organises and leads luxury superyacht expeditions to remote, culturally rich and naturally wild locations, so our team of expedition leaders, guides and naturalists are deeply familiar with the most pristine wildernesses in the world," explained EYOS Expeditions' Chief Executive officer Ben Lyons. "Our work introduces clients to environments that are exposed to the potential impact of climate change, be they coral atolls or polar ice-fields. Whether for charter clients or those who own their own yacht, it is natural for us to offer this service for those who would like to partake."
Yacht Carbon Offset's managing director, Mark Robinson, added: "We are already working with Hanse Explorer and Asteria - two of the expedition yachts that EYOS Expeditions supports - so we are delighted that EYOS' other clients will be made aware of our service, too. We look forward to contributing to all expeditions where those on the yacht expect the highest environmental standards."
