D-Marin Investments Holding B.V., a subsidiary of Dogus Group, has acquired a 70.005 per cent stake in Marina Barcelona 92 (MB'92).

The other 29.995 per cent will remain distributed between the existing management team - Jorge Ventosa (14.514 per cent), Pepe García-Aubert (eight per cent) and the Catalan financial group Deva 98, S.L. (7.481 per cent).

The transaction, which values MB'92 at €80 million, is part of the refit company's long-term development plan, which began in 2010.

Following the first expansion phase, which comprised the €35 million acquisition and overhaul of neighbouring commercial yard, Union Naval de Barcelona, 2015 has seen MB'92 undergo the installation of a new shiplift with a 4,000 ton lifting capacity. This second phase will be completed in 2017.

MB'92 is one of the industry's most recognised refit facilities, with capacity to service the largest vessels in the fleet. Its management team has welcomed D-Marin's investment stating that it will, ‘increase [its] international presence in both the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic.'
