Bodrum’s Esenyacht has opened its new composites production facility offering a full range of new build and refit services. This will include pre-engineering and design, the construction of composite moulds and yacht building.

The newly opened operation will be run by composite department manager, Nicholas Beadle, alongside Emrah Ipek and Onur Yildrim. Capable of the full range of production techniques including vacuum infusion and pre-preg, the facility has been fitted out with all the necessary tooling including a 4-axis CNC milling machine, calibration equipment, Airtech vacuum systems and two ovens; one fixed and the other portable. The fixed oven measures 21m by 5m and is rated up to 120°C.

The full range of structures and components can be produced, from hatches and tenders to booms, masts and superstructures.  Current projects include the deck hatches for the 50m performance sailing sloop Troy together with its 63m rig, boom and 20m superstructure.

“This advanced composite capability is a valuable addition to Esenyacht and reinforces our strong position as a leading, full service new-build and refit yard in the eastern Mediterranean,” said general manager Deniz Can. “While we are only in our third year of operation, our extensive investment programme and ability to recruit a talented and experienced workforce allows us to offer our clients a modern yard using the latest equipment and processes.”
