Lauderdale Marine Center continues expansion

Lauderdale Marine Center has a yard expansion underway, which will be completed by mid-July 2016, with the next stage of the development programme to begin on the second week of July 2016 and completed Jan 2017…

The development of Lauderdale Marine Center’s new Southwest Layday area continues apace, with completion of this phase of the programme scheduled for mid-July. This expansion project will allow Lauderdale Marine Center to cater for larger yachts.

The area will feature five dry storage slips for vessels up to 45m. With the addition of these new 'layday' spaces, the Lauderdale Marine Center facility will have a total of 41 dry storage slips for vessels over 36m LOA. 

Lauderdale Marine Center will also begin work on a further 15-acre expansion in the second week of July, to be completed by January 2017. This expansion will increase its capacity by 85 spaces, 43 in water and 42 out of water.

Southwest Layday construction underway

Lauderdale Marine Center is the largest yacht repair facility in the United States and covers over 242,800sqm, with space for over 300 vessels, ranging from 12-60m, its hauling capabilities enable it to safely dry dock over 110 boats up to 300 gross tons. There are an additional 180 in-water berths.
