On Friday 15 June a memorial service was held in Fort Lauderdale for the co-founder and chairman of the Bradford Marine companies, Dieter Cosman, who passed away on 12 June. A dedicated, passionate figure who for a time lived on a boat at the Fort Lauderdale facilities, Cosman, 95, was an avid yachtsman and diver, continuing to dive well into his nineties.

In its announcement of the news, the company commented that Cosman was “known by Bradford Marine's employees as a great leader with a strong work and business ethic” who “truly enjoyed both business and life”.

“He will be sincerely missed by his Bradford Marine family. The current management team of the company, which includes members of Mr Cosman's family, will carry out his vision for the company, inspired by his extraordinary leadership,” continued the statement.

Mr Cosman is survived by his wife Susanne and four children.
