According to media reports, the body of a 33-year-old Australian, male crewmember has been found at the bottom of a harbour in Sitka, Alaska.

Allegedly the man has been identified as John W. Schroeder, crewmember on board 36.58m motoryacht Valkyrie that was visiting the Southeast Alaska town.

It has been reported that Schroeder was last seen leaving a bar across the street from the ANB Harbour late Thursday night, 11 July, and Sitka police said crewmates called the police shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday when Schroeder failed to show up for work. The Sitka Dive Team were reportedly then called in and found Schroeder’s body.
