Pinmar’s founder, Peter Allan, passed away last week at the age of 71 after suffering a heart attack in Mexico, his home since he retired from Pinmar in 2009.

Allan was a well known figure in the superyacht industry for his integral role in building a global brand that has refinished hundreds of the world’s most iconic yachts and is involved in fairing and painting some of the largest new build projects to date.

The funeral took place on 5 November and Company Secretary Nick Entwisle said that, according to his friends, it was; “A very beautiful service attended by 150 people”.

There are plans to hold a memorial service in Mallorca in due course, details of which are to follow.
