The curtain has closed on the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). On display were over 120 superyachts along with more than 500 exhibitors from the superyacht industry in a warm and sunny Port Hercules in Monaco.

The Isle of Man Ship Registry together with the Isle of Man Superyacht Forum exhibited at the event again this year, hosting a reception on the stand during the first evening. As a member of the Superyacht Forum, Abacus Trust Company, along with a handful of others, sponsored the Isle of Man Ship Register’s stand and reception. Abacus’s own Samantha Snow and Stephen Colderwood were on hand to welcome the guests.

Business Development Manager, Stephen Colderwood said: “MYS had a very positive, uplifting vibe. The confidence of a well-organised and bedded in event shone through with all the participants enjoying the ambiance by meeting new and existing contacts at stands, events and parties.”

After the parties have finished and the champagne and canapes consumed, the hard work now starts to ensure that information regarding the products and services reaches all the right people and lots of follow-up conversations take place.

The superyacht industry is an economy that is fed by ultra-high net worth individuals, the luxury and lifestyle that they enjoy is clear to see in Monaco, especially for the businesses and people that rely on the industries success. Where only exceptionally high standards are acceptable, choosing a service provider that has proven success in multiple jurisdictions, like Abacus, is why we support this exceptional event.
