The Isle of Man SuperYacht Forum are preparing for the new show on the superyacht Calendar: The London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show which will be held at Old Billingsgate Market and St Katharine’s Dock from 8th – 10th April.
Yacht management in the Isle of Man really began to develop in the early 1980s and has grown into a substantial and highly regarded part of the global superyacht industry. The Forum was founded in 2004 to promote the services of companies based on the Island.
Many of the industry’s standards and recognised best practices were initiated and implemented by Forum members.
The services of the members are not restricted to the Island; most have contacts on other jurisdictions indeed some have established offices elsewhere to be able to offer clients the widest possible range of solutions.
The Forum has more than 30 members who, individually and corporately, provide the highest level of service to one of the most demanding industries in the world – to owners, builders, brokers, managers, crew, legal and financial advisors.
Andy Roy, Chairman of the Forum said: “The event represents an ideal platform to explain to builders, owners, intermediaries and other industry professionals why the Isle of Man is considered the centre of excellence in this exciting area. Furthermore, the SuperYacht Forum is keen to support British industry in London, the worldwide hub of international wealth management.”
The SuperYacht Forum stand is situated at M15 on the Mezzanine Floor of Old Billingsgate Market.
Representatives from the Forum’s membership and senior representatives of the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development and Ship Registry will be on the stand to discuss the Forum’s wide range of activities and services to the superyacht and aircraft industries and the management of luxury assets.
