“Design any kind of boat, no holds barred, so long as it’s the best of its kind†That’s the philosophy that has been and will continue to underpin the work of young Genoese Stefano PASTROVICH, 1973, Architect and Naval designer, who has been working in the yacht design, building and styling since 1997. Pastrovich’s career got off with a prestige collaboration with Martin Francis for which he designed amongst others the 57m SenseS. During the construction of SenseS, in 1998 he met Kush Yachts founder Claus Kush who commissioned him to design and develop the 104 m LGB, Le Grand Bleu. From 2000 to 2005, Pastrovich was appointed Chief Designer at the Wally style office where he worked on developing the styling of the 118’ Wallypower. During this time he developed a unique synergic relationship with the founder of Wally, designing for him the entire Wallypower range including the 47’, 55’, 64 and the 73’. 2005, is the opening of the Pastrovich Studio. As a rule, Pastrovich developed his studio to style the vessel’s exterior and interior, being responsible for the General Arrangement and fully involved in the building process as well. Connecting his way of designing with all different disciplines of the yacht building, he grow up an extraordinary flexibility of his designs. His view of the yachtbuilding as an Orchestra where different talents increase value to the others within an open mind synergy. From 2005 to 2008 he designed different type of vessel like the sailing yacht SLYFun 42’, the interiors of the Shipman 63’, the new GA of 114m Luna. In 2007, PerAquum, which owns ultra-luxurious resorts and spa in the world’s most beautiful locations, commissioned Pastrovich to design three identical resort-yacht, 56m with six suites and a spa. In 2008 he started the refit of a RV 83m research vessel for an US Foundation which has been launched on March 2012. In 2010 he designed the full exterior and interior refit of the shadow vessel 50m Mystere, delivered nine month after in 2011. Between 2011 and 2012 he has redesigned the interiors of the MY42m Life Saga. At Pastrovich Studio, R&D is the key point to anticipate the design and technology. Stefano’s view to design interiors and exteriors strongly connected has been developed and show with the concept design for the refit of the Ocean Tug 77m Khozam, the 88m Oceanic and the 92m Research. The design of the 99m Xvintage in collaboration with Wartsila and Fincantieri is the result of a realistic synergy between design and technology to comply the future IMO Tier III rules imposing a strong reduction of NOx emission. The project 150m SVETI is a vision of the future where technology and design work together in synergy to make the humans being more connected with nature. “To Design is a way to listen, to Challenge is a way to believeâ€
