Week in Superyacht Brokerage: Fall in sales again

The first week of October marked a slow start to Q4 2012, with only three sales completed. This figure included the fourth Admiral Tecnomar hull to be sold in six months.…

The week running September 2-8 October included three sales completed, 18 new Central Agencies and 19 reductions made.

Superyacht Sales

The largest sale this week was completed by Admiral Tecnomar Group. The sale, completed by the yard and to be delivered in 2014 was the 37m M/Y Impero 37 RPH. Both of the remaining sales this week were in the 24-30m range and had a combined asking price of €2,542,046, and combined length of 51.74m. The larger of these, completed by Bob Cury at RJC Yachts was the 27.74m Palmer Johnson built Grazianna. Built in 1999, she had an asking price of $1,995,000. The second sale completed this week was the 24m Solal. Built in 2000 by San Lorenzo, she had an asking price of €1,000,000 and was sold by Tina Collins at 7 East Yachts.

New Central Agencies

Increase in new CAs announced this week, with a total of 17 listings announced. The yachts had a total combined length of 621.1m, and their combined asking prices total €131,870,727 ($176,761,293).

The largest new listing was 49.68m QM of London, built by Benetti in 1998 and refit in 2006. She is listed with Merle Wood & Associates with an asking price of €7,500,000.

John Todd from Burger Yacht Sales has listed the recently refit in 2011, 25.9m Lady Sarah. Built in 2001 by Burger, she is on the market for $3,750,000.

Burgess and Simpson Marine have teamed up to list the 2006, Forgacs built 41m Seafaris, on the market for $12,500,000.

Simon Goldsworthy and Fernando Nicholson from Camper & Nicholsons have been announced as the new CAs for Kingship’s Green Voyager. Set for delivery in 2014, this 44m M/Y has a listing price of €14,800,000.

Cube Yachts has listed 40.5m M/Y taTii for €12,000,000. Listed by Kurt Deithrich, taTii was built by Tamsen Yachts in 2009.

Joe Laundrie at Denison Yacht Sales has listed the 2008 Johnson Yachts built, 26.52m Bella Donna II for $4,339,000.

The 25.9m Four Flowers has been jointly listed by Dimitris Kyriazakos at Ekka Yachts Brokerage and Ferretti Yachts. Built in 2004 by Riva 85 Opera Series, she is on the market for €2,200,000.

Two listings from Kevin Bonnie at International Yacht Collection: 41.14m Alloy Yachts 2007 built Como, is on the market for €12,500,000; and the Heesen Yachts built 39.8m Jangda/Little Fish is on the market for €11,800,000.

Another listing from Merle Wood & Associates: the 46m Richmond Yachts, Status Quo, completed in 2010 is being listed by Cromwell Littlejon & John Cohen for $22,900,000.

Sergei Dobroserdov from Nakhimov Yachts has been appointed new CA for the 44m Heesen built, Bliss. Completed in 2007, she is on the market at €18,900,000.

Northrop & Johnson have announced three new listings this week: sistership S/Y, Aiyana and Two have been jointly listed by Steve Doyle from Northrop & Johnson, with Murray Lord from Wellington Yacht Partners. Both yachts measure 24.68m, completed by Alia Yachts in 2010; Aiyana is on the market for $5,450,000, with the 2011 completed Two for sale at $5,950,000. The final listing comes from Wes Sanford with the 33.2m 2008 Johnson built Diamond Girl, with an asking price of $5,995,000.

OceanStyle announced the listing of 25.5m Yasemi, completed in 2007 by Posillipo with an asking price of €1,900,000.

Jointly listed by Olympic Marine and Merle Wood & Associates, the 1986 built 33m G Whiz by Brooke Marine has recently been refit this year and is on the market for €2,500,000.

Lastly, the 2012 Sunseeker build, 28m Zozo, is new to market and listed through Gary Cleaverly at Sunseeker London for £4,750,000.

Price Reductions

Price reductions remain on the rise with 19 announcements made, compared with the 13 from last week. The following yachts are still on the market and looking for buyers:

The largest yacht to be reduced this week was the 61.3m CRN built New Sunrise from 2000, listed through Burgess at $28,500,000.

Two more reductions from Burgess including 45.55m 1994 Oceanco built Applause, on sale for $4,950,000; as well as the 49.9m Platinum, built by Benetti in 2009 and listed at €19,950,000.

Two reductions from Camper & Nicholsons this week: Walter Sea has reduced the 28.1m 2006 Rayburn built Kathleen M to $4,700,000; while Simon Goldsworthy has reduced the 1994 Alloy Yachts built 35.1m S/Y Aime Sea to €3,750,000.

Joint listing, Chrysanthe S has been reduced to €900,000. Built in 2000 by Mangusta Overmarine and refit in 2006, this 24.38m M/Y is listed through Alex Clarke at Denison Yacht Sales and Cornelius Gerling at Edmiston.

Four reductions this week from International Yacht Collection: Kevin Bonnie has reduced the 28.2m Bear Market, built by Mangusta in 2003, to €1,395,000; Frank Grzeszczak has reduced both Carpe Diem and Carpe Diem II. Both Trinity Yachts built, 58m Carpe Diem was built in 2011 and is listed at $59,900,000, while 45.72m Carpe Diem II was completed in 2002 and is listed at $15,500,000; joining Frank Grzeszczak is Frank Grzeszczak Jr. for D’Natalin, built by Delta Marine in 1996 and refit in 2003, this 46m M/Y has been reduced to $12,900,000.

Moran Yacht & Ship announced two reductions this week: 45m 2008 Feadship Royal built Madsummer for sale at €24,950,000; as well as the 2007 Palmer Johnson built 45.7m O’Khalila listed at $17,000,000.

Sergei Dobroserdov from Nakhimov Yachts has reduced 55m Quinta Essentia built by Heesen Yachts in 2011 and is now for sale at €53,000,000.

Gregg Morton from Northrop & Johnson has reduced the price of the 1990 Wesport built, 32.61m Mr. Terrible to $1,900,500.

Three reductions from Ocean Independence this week: Eric Trupheme has now listed the 47m Olah, built by ISA in 2005 and now for sale at €14,950,000; 34.6m Polycarpus built by Arsenal in 1949 is now listed at €2,950,000; and Marc Haendle has reduced the price of 31.12m S/Y Psyrax, built by Van Dam Nordia in 2005 to €3,900,000.

LeClercq 82, the 25m M/Y built by LeClercq in 2005 has been reduced by OceanStyle to $2,995,000.

The last reduction comes from a joint listing by Vripack and Chuck MacMahon at Northrop & Johnson. The 36.5m RMK Marine built M/Y, Private Lives, built in 2003 is now asking $7,950,000.
