Week in Superyacht Brokerage: Two sales made

The week dating 18-24 September was a quiet one for superyacht sales, with the industry awaiting the outcome of activity on the dock at the Monaco Yacht Show.…

The week running September 18-24 saw two sales, further price reductions and 12 new Central Agency Listings.

Superyacht Sales

There were just two sales this week. The first, completed by Ron Morgenstein of International Yacht Collection, is the 2000, Broward built, 31.4m M/Y Trix-Sea, sold with Frank Storti of Stomar, Inc. representing the buyer, and had an asking price of $3.2million. The second sale of Solaria Too was completed by Jean-Marie Recamier at Camper & Nicholsons with no other brokers involved. The 26m motoryacht was built in 1973 at French shipyard, Esterel.

New Central Agencies

There were 12 new CAs announced this week, up from 11 last week. The yachts had a total combined length of 460.78m, and their combined asking prices total €101,046,850 ($130,467,119).

The largest new listing is 59m Project 60, built by Boeles S & M in 1972. Originally built for the Dutch Navy, she is listed by Thorsten Giesbert at Fraser Yachts, with an asking price of €795,000.

Fraser has two further new listings: 36.12m, 2009 built Cantieri di Pisa Nena I who is listed at €8.5million, and 38.87m S/Y Freedom, built by Picchiotti in 1986 is on the market for $5.65million

Drettman Yachts announced new listing, 35.5m, JBH, completed in 2011. She is listed at €11.9million and located in Spain.

International Yacht Collection made two new listings this week. The largest, 46m D’Natalin was built in 1996 by Delta Marine and refit in 2003. Frank Grzeszczak and his son, Frank Grzeszczak Jr. have listed her at $15.5million. Also from IYC, is 27.76m Maiora built Asha, on the market for €2.1million.

Northrop & Johnson have listed 29.87m Wanderlust, built by Cheoy Lee in 1987, and listed at €767,812. This is a joint listing with Yacht Direct, and had a refit in 2003.

Two listings were announced from OceanStyle. The largest, 46.57m Project 12, built by Pisa Superyachts is a joint listing with Burgess. She is newly completed and the asking price is €23million. Also new from OceanStyle is 40.56m Deep Story. Completed this year by Orkun Yachting, the asking price is 17.49million.

Y.CO announced they are now the sole agents for S/Y Magic Carpet. This 29m Wally Yachts build is located in St. Tropez and is currently listed at €3.7million.

The two final new listings come from Yachtzoo. 37m Montrevel is a 1958 Chantiers Navale Louest build listed at $5.39million. The 34.53m 2011 Sunseeker built, Stella is on the market with an asking price of $16,134,423.

Price Reductions


Price reductions have dropped further from the previous week, with 11 announced over the course of the week, with a total value of €64,778,768 ($83,648,545).

International Yacht Collection listed the biggest reduction of the week. 57.91m Mi Sueno, was built by Trinity Yachts in 2010 and has a new asking price of $39.95million, after being reduced by $8.95million.

Bluewater Yachting has reduced the price of 29.54m 1996 Overmarine built Equilibrium, from €2.1million to €850,000.

Overmarine built, 2007 Forever One, listed by Camper & Nicholsons has been reduced by €2.45million with a new asking price of €10.5million.

Drettmann Yachts has reduced the price of Jade Yachts 2008 build, Bandido 90 to €4.97million.

Fraser Yachts announced two reductions this week. The 38m 1995 Siar Moschini built, Indigo Star saw a €1million price reduction to €2.95million; while the 2002 Azimut built Azimut 85 has a new asking price of $1.99million.

Northrop & Johnson have further reduced the price of 46.94m Mr. Terrible. Built in 2007 by Delta Marine, she has been dropped $500,000 to $25.5million.

Jared Neff at Neff Yacht Sales has confirmed that JoyMe has been reduced by €4million. This 2011 Philip Zepter Yachts build is now on the market for €18million.

Couach built in 2002, 28.1m Red Sky is listed with Thierry Voisin and has been reduced by €100,000 and has a new asking price of €1.55million.

Worth Avenue Yachts, along with Bradford Marine Sales have reduced the price of the 1997 Palmer Johnson built, Moon River to $1.99million.

And finally, Y.CO has reduced the price of 27.43m Zigzag. Built in 2008 by Nautor’s Swan, she has been reduced by €1.5million and has a new asking price of €5.25million.
