The Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo announced today it has completed the sale of a 64m project. Already under construction at the shipyard's new facility in La Spezia, the project is going to be the largest superyacht ever built by the yard. This new production site has been assigned to accommodate the construction of Sanlorenzo's developing range of 40-80m metal-hull superyachts.

The vessel can be equipped with either two CAT 3516C or two MTU 16V 4000 M63 engines. It will have six or seven guest cabins depending on the current owner's preferences and will be able to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots.

Sanlorenzo 64m new build project

The gross tonnage of all delivered Sanlorenzo yachts so far spans 149- 499gt. The newly signed order will not only be the largest Sanlorenzo superyacht to date, but it will also have the largest gross tonnage of 1,500gt. 

The delivery of the 64m yacht is scheduled for 2019.

Sanlorenzo has had quite a busy year so far, delivering a total of eight yachts. All the deliveries fall into the 32.3-42m size category including the 42m delivered in May, 2016. Currently, in the Superyacht Intelligence Agency order book, the shipyard has a total of 21 projects in build, eight of which are due to deliver in 2016.
