Kestrel 106 begins sea trials

The Kestrel 106 has finally completed its extended build process, which began in 2006, and has embarked upon sea trials. She is now listed for sale with Watkins Superyachts.…

The Kestrel 106 has finally begun sea trials, following a design and build process that was conceived by a group of 23 UK shareholders in 2006. The premise was simple - build a new breed of lightweight, high performance, luxury superyacht.

The result is the Ron Holland-deisgned Kestrel 106, a 32.4m aluminium vessel that, according to the syndicate's managing director Peter Cooke, perfectly marries the needs of sailing enthusiasts and novices alike.

These images were provided by Adrian McCourt, Managing Director of Watkins Superyachts, whom the yacht will be listed with. McCourt added that the end result was a yacht that handles superbly, whilst the vessel he said, was accompanied on her trial by a group of dolphins, a traditional sign of good luck for sailors.
