FIPA Group launches new AB 140

AB Yachts (part of the FIPA Group) has successfully launched its latest 42m AB 140 model. Built entirely in Massa, the goal with this build was to achieve exceptional levels of performance with relatively moderate power, and to guarantee outstanding levels of comfort in navigation even in heavy seas. This was achieved by using a construction process that paid careful attention to weight and its distribution, and through the use of advanced composites, the application of structural bonding agents derived from aeronautics and the use of lightweight materials.

Powered by 3 MTU engines producing 1939kW each coupled to 3 MJP waterjets, the vessel achieves a top speed of 46 knots. All systems aboard have been designed in
compliance with RINA. Moreover, this vessel has been designed and built for
commercial use and is MCA compliant. The new AB 140 features a bright and sophisticated interior which uses white as the dominant colour, complemented by light woods and leathers.
