Dutch Shipyard Claasen has announced that the classic 38.8m sailing yacht Atalante, by Hoek Naval Architects, has now left the construction hall. With the mast and rigging process underway she now approaches completion.

Atalante is the largest of the Claasen Classic range to date, built in accordance with MCA LY2 regulations. She offers highly optimised performance and will be able to compete in the Superyacht Cup and Spirit of Tradition regattas, as well as private cruising.

Prior to the completion of the rigging and the mast, which will stand 48.3m above the waterline, the finishing touches to the classic interior are now being made. This includes both a private and guest cockpit and deckhouse amidship. The sloop also features fielded panelling and white painted panels above wainscot level.

However, behind her classic interior is a modern yacht, equipped with the very latest technology and innovations.

LOA: 38.8m
Beam: 7.7m
