Channel 28 Ltd has expanded its C-Comm radio handset range with the introduction of the C-Comm 605 digital crew radio.

Handsets within the C-Comm communications system are designed with the international standard DMR protocol, delivering two simultaneous voice channels and a data channel in a 12.5kHz-wide UHF channel. The two-layer digital encryption ensures high levels of security, preventing access or interception by a third party.

The C-Comm 605, with its slimline design of 119 x 54 x 27mm, has kept the familiar alloy frame of Channel 28 Ltd's C-Comm handsets, but is lightweight at only 290 grams and according to the software development company, provides a more cost-effective option for yachts without compromising on function, features or design.

The dual analogue and digital radio has been designed with a belt clip and features secure two-slot digital UHF encryption. Compatible with a wide range of accessories, the C-Comm 605 can be easily integrated as part of a yacht's new or existing crew communication system and customised to suit the needs of each project.
