Programme twists for SYDW 2015

SuperyachtDESIGN Week 2015 sees two new exciting additions to the programme.…

Now in its third year, SuperyachtDESIGN Week (SYDW) held from 23 - 25 June, continues to evolve and explore new ways of engaging guests and partners, alike. Building on the hugely successful programme of 2014, Superyacht Events have unveiled two captivating new additions to 2015’s line up: Editor’s Picks and Artisans Unlocked.

Editor’s Picks
The Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour (DCCH) is home to 102 design showrooms. Their partnerships with SYDW enhance the programme as guests gain intimate access to over 500 leading design brands.  Hosting workshops throughout SYDW, showrooms offer VIP and industry guests a relaxing, intimate place to peruse their products and to meet the brains behind them.

In celebration of the showrooms’ collaboration with SYDW, this year’s programme will feature the ‘Editor’s Picks’: a recommendation of the top 20 things to see within the showrooms.  SuperyachtDesign Editor, Andrew Johansson, will visit each participating showroom and highlight the latest design pieces, concepts or displays that are a must-see for all SYDW attendees. Each selected piece will be featured within the 'Editor’s Picks' section of the event’s marketing campaign and the SYDW programme.

Artisans Unlocked
A SYDW favourite; Artisan & Innovator showcases entertain, engage and interact with the designers, project teams and owners’ advisors in a way that a yacht show simply can’t deliver. 2014 saw displays from top brands and designers including Gosling Marine, Eminent Wines, Oldenburger and David Harber.

This year, Artisan & Innovator showcases will participate in ‘Artisans Unlocked’ where each brand will have five minutes to deliver a captivating presentation to the audience, detailing everything from their artistic vision to demonstrating how a piece is made. This daily, stand-alone addition to the programme promises a dynamic examination of each showcase and an energetic display of design!
