MarineNav has launched its latest marine grade computer range.…

MarineNav has launched a new range of rack mounted marine grade computers for use in the commercial, workboat, hydrographic and superyacht sectors. The X1 Standard and X1 Fanless computers use commercial processors, enabling speeds up to 60 per cent faster than their mobile processor equivalents.

“The X1 Standard and X1 Fanless are just the first of a new range of marine PC’s being developed for international marine markets, and are a great addition to the wide range of MarineNav products we already offer,” commented Kevan Merson Managing Director of MarineNav.  “We are delighted to be bringing these to the European market through our European distributor Eurotask.”

The XI range features Intel i5 (for standard model) and JI900 Quad Core (for Fanless model) processors, 8GB RAM, a 120GB solid state drive, a 1TB hard drive, an Intel HD video card, multiple ins/outs including RS232, HDMI, DVI and USB ports as well as audio in/out and expansion slots.

Ample processing power and in/out ports enable the X1 range to effectively run essential on board systems such as; radar, Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS), Electronic Chart Display & Information Systems (ECDIS), Dynamic Positioning Systems (DPS) and Voyage Data Recorders (VDR).

All units are produced at MarineNav’s ISO 9001:2008 certified facility and soak tested for 24 hours to ensure reliability. Aside from improved speed, power, reliability and storage capacity the X1 range further distances itself from its predecessors through improved operational noise reduction.
