FunAir unveils two new products at MYS

Superyacht inflatable toy company FunAir, unveils two new products at The Monaco Yacht Show…

This year at the Monaco Yacht Show, superyacht inflatable toy company FunAir is unveiling two new products that have been redesigned, prior to the show. The globally recognised superyacht inflatable company will be showcasing the new FunAir Playground and Junior BigAir Blob at the show, held this week.

The FunAir Playground comprises of a a slide, climbing frame and an area to connect the Junior BigAir Blob, which is used to launch its guests into the ocean. Just like the larger version, the BigAir Blob, has stabilisers that will keep the inflatable from turning in the ocean, and inflatable stand-off that will keep it securely in place. The playground can be tethered to the yacht at anchor and can also be secured alone in shallower waters closer to the beach.

With a height of 3.5m, the FunAir Playground is made from non-slip material, both on the steps and the top, along with comfort grip climbing holds and vinyl on the slide. These additional safety features make the products ideal for children of all ages. The materials eliminate the need for a coversheet, which in turn reduces the weight and pack size of the playground. The Junior BigAir Blob also benefits from commercial grade 1000 denier PVC with FR and UV ratings and has a total set up time of no more than 30 minutes.

“Part of the reason we work hard on developing our innovation partnerships is to make sure we get regular feedback on our existing products, what the owners, guests and crew would like to see in the future, what affects the use of our products and where we can improve everyone’s yachting experience,” says the managing director of the FunAir Yachting department John Courtney.

He continues, “the Playground was developed because of our partnership with Titan Fleet who needed a durable playground that was robust and could be used by kids large and small. We redesigned it to make it lighter, taller and more stable. Combining the Playground with our Junior BigAir Blob gave Titan Fleet the perfect activity centre for their fleet of charter yachts.

As outlined in our Annual Report: Tenders & Toys edition, there has been a rise in the popularity of inflatables for yacht guests. These new products from FunAir reflect the wishes of clients wanting more equipment on board. Both the FunAir Playground and Junior BigAir Blob will be on display on the water this week, outside the official MYS Captains and Crew Lounge next to the Yacht Club.
